Toronto NA LCS Spring Viewing Party 2015 | Adventure Diary

I honestly had the best time at the Toronto LCS Viewing Party. I basically came in not really knowing what to expect, and came out super happy with everything that happened that day!

To begin, TSM, TSM, TSM baby! (yes, indeed that was necessary).

My day began when Adam picked me up from my house. We drove down to Tim Hortons so I could buy the guys breakfast--if anyone has gone on a road trip with me before, with friends, I love to buy everyone in the car breakfast. Then we picked up Kevin 45 minutes late because I took my sweet ol' precious time at home to do my hair and make-up. Then drove our way to Scarborough to pick up Emil.

After about a 30 minute drive up Eglinton, we finally found the venue. It looked just as run-down on the outside as it looked on the inside. (Throughout this reflection, you will probably read how under-funded this event really was). I guess because the tickets were so cheap, the venue was going to be cheap too, but seriously... *shake my head*. Anyways, we found parking and walked to the venue. Unfortunately, they weren't letting people in before 2pm, so we decided to talk a walk around the area to kill some time--especially since we got there around 11:30 am.

We ended up at Mastermind Toys, where I learned a scary story about Hello Kitty from Kevin (*heartbreaks*) and Emil bought Adam a Bionicle he really wanted. Then we took a walk to the park down the street! It was so much fun! The boys' inner little boys really came out with how much fun they were having on the teeter-totters!

We walked back to the venue around 1 pm, to find a line has magically formed. It wasn't that long, at the time we arrived, but we surely were not in the front anymore. They checked tickets, stamped our hands, gave us name-tags and sold hats while we waited in line. I already had a Lulu hat and Adam was borrowing Emil's Rammus hat, but Kevin bought a Teemo Hat. (Feel free to add anyone of us on League, if you do not already have us! We love playing with new people!)

When we finally were let into the venue, there was a concession stand (selling drinks, popcorn, and candy) and a merchandise stand where you could buy Team Solo Mid shirts/sweaters, plushies, and hats. We chose our seats near the front while they were playing the EU LCS Finals and Emil and I went to buy snacks while Kevin saved our seats and Adam went to the Washroom and went to say Hi to some of his College Friends. The only real food they had at the event was pizza, from Pizza Pizza which was being sold at the corner of the auditorium at a fold out table. You'd think with how much money ESN and Riot make, there could have at least had more food than that, but I guess what do you expect from a gaming event from gamers who only eat pizza while playing hours upon hours on league? At last summer's event, I heard they were selling hot dogs and fries too, but for some reason, this event they only had pizza.

Before the games started, ESN announced that a clip or two from our viewing party would be shown on the stream and a mini drone with a camera was brought to film the event. So they filmed us chanting, cheering and yelling "THIS IS HOW WE LCS!".

The first game was intense. C9 won though, but they had a lot of good plays. The Sejuani ulti by Meteos was amazing and basically won the game for them. After that play, I literally just kept saying "its game homie, gg!" to Adam.

During the breaks after each game, there was a few games and contests. During the first break, there was a cosplay content, but I didn't get pictures because Adam and I had to leave to pay for parking again. The Vi cosplay was amazing though! And the Taric! During the second break, there was a voice impersonation contest and the girl who did the Lulu impersonation was amazing! Literally sounded just like Lulu! And the Third break, there was a dunk contest for Dunk Master Darius! It was hilarious because they broke the net within the first three dunks because all the dunkers were so hyped up.

We also spent a bit of time during our breaks buying merch! We all ended up buying ourselves Plushies and trying to catch Poros that were thrown at us from ESN! They seemed really underfunded when it came to giveaways though. There weren't enough Poros for all the guests, so only some people got them, if they could catch one and the prizes were all Teemo Dolls, Lulu Hats, or Teemo Hats. The only good was was the Ezreal statue, but even so, It wouldn't be something I would want to win, only because I don't play Ezreal.

The second, third and fourth game, were won by TSM, by far. They were just eating C9 up. There was no doubt in my mind that they were going to win. LustBoy's Kennen support was amazing and I'm not going to be surprised at all if there is a Kennen Support in every game I play for the next two weeks. Nevertheless, C9 did bring their A-game and I was quite impressed. It was so much fun cheering and watching the game on the big screen with a bunch of other League of Legends players!

I'm literally so excited for the next event in the Summer! Totally an amazing experience!
