Current Gaming PC Build

As I have said in an earlier post, for one of my summer projects, I have decided to build a gaming computer. Originally, I used to play all of my games on my Lenovo T530 Laptop, but because it is a school hosted laptop (which I pay for yearly in my university tuition) there are some limitations as to what I can download. For some reason, certain games like games from Nexon would not download on my laptop. For that reason mostly, I decided to build my own gaming computer!

I will link everything I bought within the post, just in case any of you are interested in getting your own parts. All of my parts I bought from Canada Computers or got them for free from Adam.

This is my gaming tower. It is a Bitfenix Neos White/Purple Window Mid Tower Case. It was so hard for me to find a really cute gaming tower that I liked. That sounds really annoying, in a sense because I know you build a computer for the specs, but from the way I think, what's the point of spending all this money on a gaming computer if its not something I find physically beautiful as well? I honestly wasn't even going to build this gaming PC if they didn't have this case in stock because of how hard it was to find it in the first place. I really liked how it came with two fans, so in the end I didn't need to buy any extra cooling fans.

Nevertheless, I am happy with the turnout. I had some problems early on because I was sold a Processor that wasn't compatible with my motherboard by one of the sales associates at Canada Computers, but it turned out for the better because I ended up upgrading my processor in the end.
So this is inside of my case. It is kind of messy with wires because some of my wires were too thick to thread through the back of the case. Generally, I find for a starter gaming build, I did pretty well. When I play League of Legends, I usually tend to have 30 - 60 FPS and 73 Ping.

I am also running Windows 8.1 as my operating system and enjoy it, despite all the Windows 8 haters out there.

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 2.0
Power Supply: EVGA 600W 80Plus Bronze Certified Power Supply
CPU Processor: AMD X8 FX-8320E 8Core
Hard Drive: WD Blue 1TB
Graphics Card: Diamond Radeon R7 [From Adam]
Wireless Adapter: TP-Link N-600 [From Adam]
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8gb

This is my computer set-up on my desk. Not very fancy. I currently only have one screen, but am hoping to have duel monitors soon.

Monitor: ASUS VE208T, 20" Widescreen LED
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Chroma
Headset: Steel Series SIBERIA v2
Mouse: Dragon War ELE-G1 Leviathan
Mouse Pad: Steel Series QcK Frost Blue

So basically, that is my gaming set up, as of far. I plan on doing some future updates, but until then, I am pretty satisfied with how this turned out!

  1. Ohhh I love your computer case! I totally agree. I think it's such a shame most cases just look black (I mean, boring!). We need this to be more of a thing. :)

    1. Why thank you! :'D
