Five Things About Autumn I'm Super Excited For! [5 Fandom Friday]

Hi all! Once again, I am back with another five fandom friday! This week's topic is Five favourite things about autumn! As the weather starts to get chillier and the leaves begin to change, I think this is a perfect topic for the week, but I think I'll put a spin on it and talk about Five Things About Autumn I'm Excited For!

I apology in advance for my lack of a photogenic post.

Let me know down below what are some of your favourite things about autumn! I'd love to hear them!

(1) Scarves - I absolutely love scarves! I love them even more in the fall time when they are less mandatory to keep you warm, and more so an essential to keep your outfit on point! For anyone who knows me, my favourite scarves are the wool knit infinity scarves!

(2) Pumpkin Carving - Honestly, I hate the taste of pumpkin. So PSL aren't for me (sorry for all the PSL lovers out there!) BUUUUUT... I really enjoy carving them! I love being creative and doing super cute projects, and carving pumpkins is just one of those must-do creative projects of the season! Every year, Adam and I carve pumpkins together and its just a great bonding experience that we both love and have so much fun with!

(3) Pumpkin Seeds In My Garden Salad At McDonalds - Okay, you probably didn't know that McDonalds sells pumpkin seeds with their garden salad during this time of year. They actually used to sell sunflower seeds in the summer, as well, but discontinued them when they changed their salad recipes. Nevertheless, I have gotten Pumpkin Seeds with my salads, already, at selected locations and I'm super excited to take advantage of this!

(4) Cute Trick-Or-Treaters Coming to my doorstep on Halloween! - This isn't as creepy as I made it sound, I promise! I enjoy seeing trick-or-treaters at my door step on Halloween because I've noticed with the social/cultural stigmas around "stranger-danger" the magic around trick-or-treating has died out. I've noticed less and less trick-or-treaters at my door, each and every year. Do I blame the parents? Of course not! Any parent would want to do what is best for their child. It is just sad that the future generations will never be able to experience Halloween like we were able to as a kid--being so care free with wonder in eyes!

(5) Fall/Autumn Themed Sticker Sets - I've recently joined the bandwagon of sticker decorating my planners and I may (or may not) be kind of addicted to buying cute stickers for my planner. Since Autumn is around the corner, I am super excited to use all of the fall themed sticker sets I've received (and am soon receiving) for October and November.

  1. I didn't know about the pumpkin seeds. I'm going to have to start paying more attention.

    1. I think it is only at selected locations where they sell the pumpkin seeds. But usually, if you order a garden salad (as a substitute for fries) in your combo, they give you seeds of the season. If you find a location that does it, it is worth adding to the salad. It goes amazing with their balsamic dressing!

  6. Haha, I know what you mean about the cute trick or treaters! Every Halloween we go to a friend's house for a party, and they live on a street where we get literally hundreds of kids coming up to the door! It's completely different than how it was when I was a kid, with lines and parents and all these weird rules but it's nice to still see so many people participating!

    1. I love it! I wish my street was like that! My street, now, I get maybe 8 or 9 groups of kids within the night, then the left over candy is for me--which I guess isn't SO bad lol. But I'm thankful for the groups of children who continue on this great childhood tradition. I hope it stays around long enough for when I have kids xD

    1. Thanks girl! Awe I find I see less trick or treaters in apartments now a days. When my family used to live in an apartment, we never had any trick or treaters u_u I hope the spirit of halloween graces you with more trick or treaters this year :)

    1. Scarves are just great, aren't they? ;D
I think the pumpkin seeds are just at selected locations. You might want to ask them before you order if they have it, if that's what you're looking for. The McDonalds by my home sadly doesn't have them, but theres a McDonalds on the way to the movie theatre in the next town over that always has them. So you may want to ask ahead of time to see which ones have them and which don't.

I'm also not sure if its a Canadian thing or not lol. Because I live in Canada and we have a lot of random things on our McDonalds menu that other countries don't have xD
