2016/2017 Classic Happy Planner - Picture Quote [Flip Through & First Impression]

Happy Monday, Planner Friends! I did the bad--I bought yet another planner, which you probably noticed in my "How I Use Multiple Planners" post I shared last Monday. I don't feel that bad, though, because this is the planner I originally wanted from the beginning and I may have had a 50% off coupon from Michaels... so I think it was worth it!

This is the Picture Quote Classic 2016/2017 Happy Planner. It can be purchased online on the Me and my BIG Ideas shop or at selected Michael's Craft Stores. The special thing about this style in comparison to all of the other Happy Planners for 2016/2017 is that all of the dividers are designed as photography with quotes. I guess you could say it is Tumblr-ish and whatnot, but I think it is absolutely beautiful and I am so happy to have already jumped in to use it!

This is what the first page looks like: the "This Planner Belongs To..." page. Pretty plain and basic in comparison to the other Happy Planners I've shown flip-throughs for, but I love the font for the "Let's Be Happy".

Again, the year-at-a-glance is kind of plain in comparison to the other Happy Planners I've shown in the past but I love the quote at the bottom: "She's a dreamer, a doer, a thinker. She sees possibility everywhere". How self-empowering is that?

The month at a glance is kind of different. The shading for the weekends now have a pattern, which is super adorable! I love how it is still really light where you'd easily still be able to write on top of it without an issue. I don't really decorate my monthly views, so I think the patterns on the weekends will really help spice up my Monthly "spreads" a little more.

As for the weekly spreads, I love, love LOVE the font used for the days of the week! I also noticed that there is no longer headers, just colored bars, which is nice. If I wanted to follow this color scheme for the month, I wouldn't need to make special headers.

The main reason I wanted this planner was because of how beautiful the dividers and the "this month" pages were! This is the only planner i've seen that has the "this month" section laid out the way it is. MAMBI  did amazing with the designing of this page and I think it is almost too beautiful to want to write on. The dividers and the quotes on them are absolutely stunning, as well. The photos really look like something you'd see on your Tumblr-feed, which I love because it is super modern and artsy. I can't help but fall in love with each and every one of them!

Which of these dividers are your favorite? I'd love to hear down below!

  2. When I started thinking about buying one of these, this was the one I really wanted, but for some reason it was the very one that didn't make it across to the UK. I'm happy with the one I have, but those quotes really are amazing and I loved the flowers on the front. Maybe next year! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Aw that's too bad. I know the difficulty--half the collection isn't sold here in Canada because we don't have a Hobby Lobby or an equivalent shop. Nevertheless, Im glad you're enjoying your Happy Planner!
