The Lip Pencil by BITE (Review)
I was very impressed by these lip pencils. I am not much of a lip person, when it comes to make-up, but I had so much fun testing these and adding bolder colors to my make-up routine.

The Good: The packaging is very sleek and modern matte black. These lip pencils are very pigmented and bold. They also glide on very smoothly--almost like butter. The creamy texture blends so evenly with lipstick--as if they are basically the same product.

The Bad: Because of how creamy the products are, they smear--a lot. It can get kind of messy when applying it to your lips. Nevertheless, for some reason, despite how much it smears, it leaves behind a tint when being removed. When I finished taking swatches, I still had a rectangle tinted stain on my arm for a little over 24 hours. Also, the packaging could have been better because the colored end of the 044 pencil (to display what color lip pencil you have) was broken right out of the box--displaying the inner cedar wood interior of the pencil.

Helpful Hand: Because of how pigmented and creamy these pencils are, I like to apply the lip pencil all over my lips, then highlight the inner areas of my lips with blending a lighter lipstick color to add contrast.

Favorite: I'd have to say my favorite from the two is 044. The color is a very bold mahogany/plum color that works very beautifully with my tanned skin tone.

Amuse Bouche Lipstick by BITE (Review)
I really enjoyed testing these lipsticks along side my new lip pencils!

The Good: The packaging is very sleek and modern matte black--matching The Lip Pencils. These lipsticks are very creamy. The texture almost reminds me of tinted chapstick--but with a significantly more pigmented end-result. They also smell delicious--releasing a citrus-lime scent. The smell almost reminds me of the old lime skittles--remember, the ones that were replaced with green apple (comment below if you remember so I don't feel like the only one lol)? These were sample sized lipsticks, but there is a fair amount of product for these samples. They are still pretty small (perfect for leaving in your purse for emergency touch-ups) but have about two inches worth of product (which could last you quite the while, depending on how often you wear make-up).

The Bad: This lipstick is very messy, as well. Because it is creamy, it smears a lot. I get it on cups. I get it on straws. I get it on my boyfriend's face. I get it on my sleeves from accidentally brushing my lips. I get it everywhere. It isn't even that I'm using a lot of product--because I can get by with just one layer of lipstick. It's just, despite that, it is still super messy. It also leaves a tint upon removal that lasted a long while.

Helpful Hand: To alleviate how messy it is, I set it with toilet paper and translucent powder. I just brush powder onto my lips, with the toilet paper in between, to try to mattify the lipstick a bit. It doesn't stop it completely from smearing, but it helps a little bit.

Favorite: I'd have to say my favorite from the two is the shade called Whiskey. Honeycomb is pretty too, but the color is slightly lighter than my skin tone--so it looks super pale; as if my lips were drained from all of it's blood. Whiskey is just a lot bolder and suits my skin tone better.

Here are some swatches of the products. My skin tone is a medium tan caramel shade.
In order from top to bottom: 044 Lip Pencil, Whiskey Amuse Bouche Lipstick, Honeycomb Amuse Bouche Lipstick, 020 Lip Pencil.

You can purchase Amuse Bouche Lipsticks at Sephora and The Lip Pencils will be available for purchase at Sephora starting February 2nd, 2017! What are your thoughts on the lip pencils? Will you be visiting your local Sephora to test them out?
