Starbucks Berry Prickly Pear Frappuccino (Blended Creme) - Worth The Buy?

Happy Thursday, Loves! It is finally summer! I'm just so excited for longer days, warmer weather, and lots of adventures! One of my absolute favorite parts about summer is trying out all of the awesome summer seasonal drinks that come out! Earlier this week, while visiting Starbucks with Adam after a nice nature walk (lol aka, a Pokemon Go walk), I noticed they had some new drinks released! Little did I know, they were released that day! Lucky Me! I knew I definitely had to do a "Worth The Buy" for you all because you all know I love my Starbucks!

Disclaimer: This post is NOT sponsored and I purchased this drink with my own money. All opinions are that of my own.

How gorgeous does this drink look in the advertisements? So colorful and fun!

Starbucks describes it as:
"It's a whole lot of fruity fun in one Frappuccino®. Mango syrup is blended with Frappuccino® Blended Crème base, milk and ice, then poured over a purée of berries and prickly pear, and topped with more purée."
A Grande (16oz) is 260 Calories, as per following original recipe.

Despite how cute the photo from the advertising is, my frappuccino actually turned out to look really displeasing (see photo above). It really doesn't look anything like the photo, to be honest with you. The way the barista made it, it looked like more creme than real fruit puree. The syrup looks kind of blotchy at the top and its just really ugly to look at (see photo below). Definitely not Instagram worthy.

Nevertheless, it tasted pretty good. Remember how I mentioned earlier in the post how it had Mango Syrup in the creme base? Well, if you remember the Unicorn drink Starbucks released earlier this year, it kind of tasted like that (minus the gross sour shocks). When mixed with the berry/pear pure, it was actually a really nice refreshing taste.

So, in the end, do I think it is Worth The Buy?

Taste wise, definitely! The mix of the fruit puree with the mango creme base was delicious! I actually finished it almost immediately! I definitely will be coming back to Starbucks soon to buy it again!

Presentation wise, my barista failed me. Not to say your barista will fail you, but I think I'd definitely try a different location, next time, to see if they can make it look more presentable. I was kind of scared and turned-off, at first, to try it, because of how gross the puree at the top looked.

Nevertheless, I definitely recommend anyone to go out and buy it! Definite YES from me! It was absolutely delicious.

I guess, if you want to buy it for the 'gram, you could ask your Barista to try to make it look Instagram Worthy.
