Lakefront Cottage On The Mountains | Sutton, Quebec Adventure Diary

Happy Friday, Loves! Two weeks ago, I went on a fun adventure to Sutton, Quebec with Adam and our group of friends to spend a week at the cottage before school started. Despite the looooong 7 hour drive (with multiple stops), I think traveling the distance was well worth the adventure.

We stayed at a large beautiful cottage on Rue Puits with a private lake in our backyard for four nights. The house was absolutely gorgeous! It had a large deck, a balcony connected to the master bedroom, a ping pong table, a billiards table, a home theater with projector, a library, and so much living space to just hang around. As we ran through the house for the first time discovering what would be our home for 5 days, we couldn't believe our eyes. This cottage was so large, beautifully decorated and luxurious that it reminded us of a cottage mansion. We were super excited because we got a great deal on it!

One of my favourite things about the cottage was the VIEW! I spent every morning on the deck, drinking my coffee, checking e-mails, replying to comments, and editing (If you want to see my full travel work routine, click here). The view was absolutely gorgeous! The photos do not do the area justice with how pretty it was all times of the day!

It was interesting seeing how different Sutton, Quebec was from Ajax, Ontario. We shopped for all of our groceries at the local IGA, we bought our alcohol from convenience stores and the SAQ, and we enjoyed Sushi Burritos and Poke Bowls that weren't made by Japanese people but tasted amazing. Despite us not knowing French, so many people were so nice to us here.

The town is also phenomenal for hiking! We went on an hour hike through Sentier Village-Montage, which is basically the village hiking trail. It was so gorgeous that I couldn't help but take photos. While most of us stayed on the trail, Adam and Emil jumped between rocks through the stream and climbed trees on their own adventure.

We had such an amazing trip surrounded with so many fun people in such a gorgeous little town. I cannot wait to visit Quebec again in the future! Next time, I really hope to do more exploring, for sure!
