How I Became Re-Inspired To Blog Again | Welcoming A New Chapter

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.” - Edith Lovejoy Pierce

Happy January, loves! It has been forever since I've posted! I've been a very bad blogger, I'm sorry! But I have so many amazing things to share with you that I have been working on while I was away!

Surprisingly enough, I actually considered closing this blog, for 2018. After three years of blogging on here, I thought it was finally time to move forward with my life. BUT, obviously that didn't pan out, because here I am! I'm really glad I didn't because I'm more inspired than ever to blog, right now!

My break from blogging began with a slump (like most bloggers, I find). I was having trouble finding things to write about that I was passionate about. I couldn't find a topic that grew fire in my heart as I wrote and took photos for. It just wasn't working. I was beginning to incorporate more and more stock photos into my blog posts and write posts because I had to, not because I was inspired to write. Ugh, isn't that the worst?

Soon after, I launched Pack Alpha Pack with my boyfriend Adam and I was busier than ever. With raising/training a husky puppy, growing a small business, and juggling other personal priorities, I just had no inspiration or passion to write here.

As the new year approached, I began to reflect on my lifestyle. As you know, reflection is so important to me. I began to remind myself that this last year (2017), I let the blogger world consume me. I was so concerned with becoming successful, working with a bunch of brands, and getting big. It took this reflection period to remind myself to start living.

I needed to be reminded that I should collect memories and moments; not things.

My whole life, I was constantly pushed by everyone around me to finish university, get into an entry level job, grow in the company, eventually make lots of money, get married, have children, etc. I felt like I needed I needed to work my butt off to follow this predetermined path for myself to be successful. But, reflecting back, I knew this wasn't the lifestyle I wanted to live my whole life. I don't want to waste my life away following everyone else's footsteps ending up 65, retired, and feeling no real accomplishment in life. None of that stuff mattered to me if I had no amazing memories to back it up with. I'd just have a day-in, day-out life that consumed me. I knew I needed something different for my future.

So alongside our local/online shop, Adam and I started vlogging. Not to show off what we have, but to archive where we were, where we are, and where we could be one day. We're collecting the memories, day by day, one by one.

And after a month of vlogging, this inspired me to come back to Jennibearrxo - where it all started. But from here, we'll be taking a turn for the better.

From here on, Jennibearrxo is no longer about what you could have - its about making the best of what you do have to grow. My mission is to help inspire others learn from being humble, to get creative with their current situation, and grow from where they used to be to reach where they want to be.

I'm very excited to see where this change could take this blog and my relationship with all of you. I can't wait for all the amazing ideas I have in store for the future of this blog! Thanks for joining in on the ride!
